August Favorites

August Beauty Favorites 2014
Click here to view my latest YouTube video – my favorite beauty and non-beauty items for the month of August! I had a great time picking this month’s favorites for you guys – definitely a random assortment, heavier on the non-beauty faves this time around. But no fear–next month’s installment promises to be big on the beauty, as I’ve been testing some products out a little more rigorously than usual so I can be absolutely sure they’re up to standard (and they are).

Leave me a comment down below with your favorite beauty item of the past month. What have you been absolutely loving? Let’s have a discussion!

    Again,

    • Thank you for the amazing comment! I will have to check out that book you recommended. I love real techniques and the zoeva- – just depends on what you’re willing to spend. But the real techniques you can’t go wrong with and they’re a fairly good value. I used the stippling brush for the cream blush.

Hey-Kristina! I discovered u thru MGG(Marnie) and just love your YouTube channel. Anyway~~I also like your new simple and clean lined style for the blog makeover. While u were talking about the book I was texting my sis-in-law(library branch manager) to check it out for me!! So I look forward to reading and learning what she has to say on the body and health subject!! Lol–I look forward to learning more about u!! L8r!!

    • Thank you Wendy! Hope you like the body book!

I’ve been obsessed with the NYX butter gloss in Creme Brulee. It doesn’t look like much, but it is gorgeous on the lips. PS: I’m in love with that Whipping Post bag.

    • I love Creme Brûlée! I own it myself! It’s a great color 🙂

I have no new favorite beauty item to contribute this month, just a hurrah for this video–and for your Target haul video as well, which was really very funny. The watch here is beautiful and that snow leopard pajama is sooooooooo awesome. Awesome awesome awesome. I have also wanted a onesie from Target as well in the past, but am really tall and so far they have not fit me. (Sorry I am too lazy to figure out my YouTube password to leave a comment there–my blu ray player keeps me signed in always, but I cannot leave comments from there, only give things a thumbs up.)

    As always, good work!

I love your Kate Spade Planner! I would be nowhere without my Moleskin yearly planner. I can’t tell you how much I enjoy your blog. I actually found it through your “Secrets to Successful Fashion Blogging” post and I have spent hours over the weekend reading your posts and watching your Youtube videos.

I recently graduated from Rice University and actually got into UCSF medical school, but decided to defer for a year and work in the pharmaceutical industry as a medicinal chemist, so it’s really inspiring to know that there can be a balance between work and blogging. I have a fashion/beauty blog that I run for fun, but I am trying to become more serious. I’m trying to find a balance between work and blogging. If you have any tips, I would love to know them!

I have been watching your videos for some time now. I really enjoy them. I am a Texas gal too and could not resist ordering the Whipping Post bag. I received it today and it is just beautiful. It was exactly what I have been looking for in a tote bag. I am so tempted to get the black also :D…. but with a 17 yr old daughter in my house I am no longer able to sneak in items and break them out slowly. Darn!
Anyway……thanks so much for sharing all of your goodies. You are getting me into trouble..I just want it all. YEAH! Between you, MsGoldGirl and Elle is For Living I need a second job! LOL.

BTW…I had no idea that the Northpark mall had a LUSH store. I live about 90 miles from Ft. Worth. I frequently take day trips to the metroplex just to shop; That mall is definitely on my list.

    Thanks for sharing –
