The weekend was just the sort of lazy, lounge-around style that I needed. HB, Gidget and I enjoyed a Sunday evening stroll, and I discovered just how truly comfortable my new Sperry boat shoes truly are. I used to own a pair that I got from a discount shoe store and they were super uncomfortable. Now I know why those were discounted!
I love the look of clean denim, but sometimes you’re just in the mood for really, really, really ripped-up jeans. Am I right?
Ever since I found out the Erin Condren Life Planner 2015-16 marked the launch of the new Rose Gold edition, I couldn’t wait to get one in my hands. I’m a self-confessed planner junkie, and own many a Filofax, Erin Condren Life Planner, and Louis Vuitton Agenda MM (my current system).
I’m very pleased to know that the changes they brought to the 2015-2016 reflected what a lot of us were asking for, so click to find out more!
There are some days when you just want to wear a little (or a lot of) pink. This top is half-lined (the top part, of course) and breezy, and I love the racerback. It’s kind of made me realize, though, that it’s time to start working on those arms, because damn. They’re weak and floppy.
I still love my staple Topshop Jamie jeans, and these rose gold-capped espadrilles are the perfect slip-on shoe for summer.
The month of May went by ever so quickly – and it’s one of my favorites. My birthday was May 1, and my anniversary was May 12. Two of my most favoritest (I’m making that a word) people also celebrate their birthdays in May, so it really just feels like a month of celebrations.
As I’ve mentioned before, my style has evolved quite drastically from early days of this style & beauty blog. No longer am I interested in adding layers upon layers, stacking rings and bracelets galore. I’m more interested in quality, minimalism, and investing in pieces that will stand the test of time.
Because of this evolution and the fact that I realize I haven’t shared this process with you yet, I’ve decided to start a capsule collection of posts that I’m calling the “HG Edit” (HG stands for Holy Grail).
There’s a song that HB loves to sing in the car, called “Luckenbach, Texas”, sung by Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson, and it’s this song my husband was singing to me before we shot the photos of this casual Saturday outfit.
When it comes to the history of this great city I live in, there are a few hidden gems. One of them happens to be the house where they filmed the classic Shirley MacLaine and Jack Nicholson movie, Terms of Endearment. We are frequently in this area of town, so we decided to use the house as our backdrop for today’s outfit.
Pardon the pun. Argan oil is an ancient beauty secret from Morocco that is referred to as “liquid gold” for its nourishing properties. It also happens to be the star ingredient in a number of luxury beauty brands, but never before has it been so prominently part of a collection available in drugstore beauty retailers as it is now. Physicians Formula introduces to us, “Argan Wear”, a new range containing the four products you see above, all infused with argan oil.
Nordstrom’s The Half Yearly sale is in full swing! Today I visited Nordstrom and picked up this vest top, these socks (I got three assorted pairs), and these rainbow aviator sunnies ($12!). So much stuff was on sale it was incredible! I’ll…
Happy birthday to me! I had the complete privilege to be able to preview the newly-relaunched Calypso St. Barth fragrance collection, which includes their signature scent “mimosa” and two brand new scents, “fig” and “casablanca“. Each one floats on a breeze of effortless chic. “mimosa” smells effervescent, like the signature cocktail, it is lighthearted and whimsical. “Fig” is fresh with a subtle spice running underneath it, and “casablanca” smells like the sunset at an Italian villa full of free spirits.
As I gear up for summer (and my vacation to Mexico), it becomes standard that the hunt for summer-proof beauty items begins. This summer, I’m rediscovering the CoverGirl LashBlast Volume mascara. I’m not partial to waterproof formulas as it is too…
