It can be so refreshing to just get back down to basics: plain white oxford shirt, boot-cut jeans. Of course, I wouldn’t be true to myself if I didn’t scratch the itch to sparkle things up a bit. So I throw on my Pretty Shiny Sparkly necklace (the Spike the Punch bauble inspired by and named after yours truly), my bejeweled Steve Madden booties, and my new pink & gold clutch from H&M.
And I’m ready to take on the world!
(Or, as was the case here..watch The Avengers 3D.)
Photos by my adorable husband. Thanks hubbie! 😉

Nothing wrong with some basics! Although, your fabulous necklace, gorgeous shoes and bright lip colour keep this from being anything but boring! Love it 🙂
Nice and simple!!! Lovinnnnnn it!!!!
Simple and chic! Super cute necklace!!

Gorgeous, the outfit is classy with glam. Love the necklace
I love that necklace and tomorrow I will be the proud owner of one. 🙂 I had to send it to my brother’s who lives in the US and it will fly over to Germany tonight. Have a wonderful weekend! xo, Christina
That’s so exciting Christina, thanks so much for going through the trouble of ordering it internationally. I was so flattered that Elizabeth wanted to name her necklace after me – as they say, “if the shoe fits!”
Enjoy! xo
Love your shoes, beautiful outfit as always!

Can’t go wrong with the basics!xoxo

I completely agree that sometimes the chicest outfits are not ones splashed with neon, mixed prints or tye dye. It’s good to keep it simple every now and then – you can’t go wrong with this combination! 🙂
Thanks – and I love the new look of PPF!
Your photos always look good but these are especially fantastic – you are glowing!
Thank you so much! It must be the newlywed effect… (and the fact that I’ve been on vacation for a month might help a little too)
Basics are always definitely refreshing!
P.S. LOVE that necklace!
Definitely classics for a reason. I used to have the most amazing shirt that was deliberately made to look like you were wearing a crumpled men’s tuxedo shirt. Sounds hideous but it totally worked for me as I never really look “put together” so much as “thrown together”!
Love this classic look- there is no way you can go wrong with it! And your necklace is lovely.
Love that necklace! Sometimes, nothing beats a simple and casual outfit!

i love that necklace!! So beautiful!

In love with those booties! Love anything that sparkles 🙂
1 look we love: @PrttyShnySprkly shows us how to make a "basic" look become a "stunning" style! http://t.co/vfxAs1kT
I love boot-cut jeans so much! They’re so much more comfortable than skinny jeans!!
Great outfit, you look classic AND hot! Love the necklace, too!
Awesome necklace!
always love a classic button up shirt and jeans outfit! you’re totally rocking it here. And that necklace is just so pretty and so you! :)xx
Love the necklace! It adds a nice pop of color to the rest of your look!
gorgeous photos. that stp is such a beautiful combination.
The basics are always timeless & the best!

Going back to basics – sounds great to me! You can never gone wrong with classics like a crisp white shirt and good pair of jeans. I love how you’ve styled the look with those absolutely FABULOUS Steve Madden sparkly silver booties and your Spike the Punch necklace! The perfect amount of sparkle! 🙂
I think this outfit will never be out of style. There’s always something about the simplicity of the white shirt and jeans combination that makes anyone, male or female, look sexy. I know I put these on once in a while.
I love simple styles with a personal twist! Your makeup is also stunning, especially the lips. What color/brand did you use?
