The BackPack is an iMac Clutter Killer (Giveaway)

This contest is now closed.

Please watch the video for a super cool product review (and a giveaway at the very end!). Twelve South is such an awesome company, and they’re so personable. I contacted them because I fell in love with, oh, just about every single one of the products that they offer. And they design exclusively for Macs, which I l-o-v-e. The days of Windows getting all the love are gone, my friend.

The BackPack is such a nifty little device — I can’t believe nobody came up with this sooner! As I explain in my review, the iMac is all about clean minimalism. Until you add your backup drive. And your iPhone. And your digital camera. What’s the point??

The solution: the BackPack, or as I have affectionately dubbed it: the Clutter Killer. It is a dream come true for obsessive-compulsive personalities like myself! It’s such a great price too. Even if you don’t own an iMac, I’m sure you know someone who does, who would like it very much!

One more thing–after filming, I discovered a really cool translucent rubbery pad in the box, which you can place on the BackPack if you have something slippery or smooth (like an iPhone) that you want to prevent from slipping or avoid any scratches while moving it back and forth. Since I just have my big, fat 1TB WD MyBook external hard drive sitting on it, I am just playing with the rubber pad–it’s so much fun.

Mandatory: To enter the BackPack giveaway just watch the video, then:

  • Leave a comment saying anything you like (maybe, which products you like from Twelve South, what you would do with the BackPack if you won, just say hi, whatever!)

Once you have done that, you can increase your chances of winning by 2 ways: some require a comment, some don’t, so pay attention… 🙂

Optional: Leave an extra comment for each:

Optional: No comment needed (automatically eligible!):

  • Retweet this giveaway using the green retweet button below (it’s super easy!) (only one retweet is counted per username)
  • If you’re a fan on facebook, you’re automatically entered!

Good luck everyone! The contest will end Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 11:59 PM CDT. Winner will be chosen randomly from the eligible entries via Twelve South provided the review product for my use and honest opinion, as well as provided the giveaway item to the lucky winner (whoever you are!). Contest is open to the U.S. and Canada only.

!!! I would use the Backpack for the exact same purpose you did! My backup HD is great, but definitely takes up extra space and clutters up my desk.

Subscribed to the twelve south blog. totally agreed that minimalism is the image and this is a must have item. i don’t think i would use it for my iphone as i reach for it all the time but external HD would be perfect back there. or if your monitor faces the entry way…something small like a tiny fake plant would add some color and be unique. haha…thanks!
