Do not let the fabulous rainbow colors fool you: this is a pretty simple, everyday makeup look. Now, I’m no makeup artist, and yes I fudge up sometimes in the video (and trust me, I’m aware). But I do put on makeup everyday, and have been doing so for the last 15 years or so. I’ve created this video in a more sophisticated editing program that I’m trying out. Do you like the way this video runs? I would love your feedback on my videos, so I can continue to bring you content that you guys want. Also, I try not to talk about politics or other divisive topics here on the blog, but I would like to give a very special hello and thank you to my gay readers. This (rainbow saturated) post is for you: may everyone have the right to marry whomever they choose. ♥

Hi! Great video! Out of curiosity – what teeth whitening product (or process) do you use? Your teeth are gorgeous
Thank you! I had a professional in-chair procedure at the dentist years ago which was super effective but what really works well is the Crest 2 Hour Whitestrips Express (the $50 version). Pricey, I know, but it’s less than the $200+ of a single treatment, and you get several treatments in the box. I only need to use them once every few months (like 6 months or so)!
I got those strips few weeks back but I ended up having extremely sensitive teeth! I barely slept the night I used them and the following day the feeling was unbearable :'(
Me too! But the pain is worth it in the end. I always forget about how unbearable it is, and I’m like “never again!” But we all know how that story ends ..
I’m really afraid to give them a second chance… But I have to recognize your teeth look amazing! So I guess I’ll use them again when I don’t have to leave the house the following day 😉
I have read that if you use a toothpaste for sensitive teeth for like a week before whitening, it prevents tooth sensitivity completely. I just never remember when it comes time!
That’s awesome! Thank you for the advice. I’ll try the toothpaste next week and get back to you with my feedback 😀
Thanks for the tutorial! I’m always trying to improve my everyday makeup routine so this was really helpful 🙂 <3
You’re so welcome! Thanks for watching.
I love this look! It’s really natural so you don’t look ‘done’ at all – you just look refreshed and ready for the day!Good on you for supporting Gay marriage – it’s an issue of equality – we are all Human and deserves all the same rights.

Yay, for gay marriage! Yay, for the lovely purple streaks. Thanks for the how-to video to watch – a lovely look for you.
I was trying to catch up on the videos earlier and here’s a new one. Yay! It’s like having my own personal make-up tester. Thank you!
This is great! Learnt new trick, applying face powder after blush. Does your mascara smudge? Mine always does even if I used waterproof. Any advice?
I recommend not wearing waterproof if your mascara smudges. Sounds paradoxical, I know, but waterproof mascara is water proof, not oil proof. And in fact, oil is what takes it off (makeup remover). So I find the natural oils on my skin tend to make waterproof smudge more than regular formulations.
i prefer your old style videos sorry hun 🙁 x
Hey no worries! I only do VoiceOver videos for tutorials, so if that’s what you don’t like, never fear! 🙂
OMG thank you so much!!! I have probably the laziest, and not-so-educated make-up routine ever, and your video just taught me sooo much!! I think you just changed my habits, and tools for the better!!! Do you have any recommendations for “drug-store” brands? I’m constantly on a tight budget, and can’t get the pricier stuff. 🙁
Yes! I have several posts and videos on the best drugstore makeup–I’m a huge fan of drugstore makeup!
LOVE! I bought the Rimmel Stay Matte powder last week, but I think I need a big ol brush like that one.
I think my huge brush is sephora brand. I wouldn’t waste your money on it though. It just does the trick but nothing special. :-/
Great tutorial! Question- why do you apply your undereye concealer after you’ve completed your eye makeup, and not before? Just curious.
Actually, it’s because I can sweep away the “fallout” shadow more easily with a small fluffy brush, before I add the creamy texture of concealer. 🙂
I get a kick out of watching makeup videos. I always pick up a tip or two, and I loved this one. Thanks! And I liked the style – the video ran well and looked great in HD on my iMac.
Video looks really nice! Must be a little awkward using the computer camera as a mirror, especially when it goes out of focus 🙂
Ha yeah it definitely would be! I used my makeup mirror for this tutorial though…still awkward!
Love this! Do you find that the Benefit Erase Paste lasts all day for you? http://www.beautyandgroom.com
Looks good to me, not too much fudge if you are worried!!! Videos are so helpful to me, and very practical. Yes I have also had teeth whitening done at the dentist but it was very expensive, $500 for the treatment. It did produce great results but drinking coffee spoils things a little.

Oh wow your blog post is really helpful, recreating a look, I must try this at once. I will definitely post this in the make up section on my new favorite lifestyle website lifestyleprofessional.net yeey..Tahnk you for the video Kristina. keep up the good work.
Love your video…
Your makeup always looks lovely. I am in the market for a new under-eye concealer, so I think I’ll check out the Erase Paste. I also like the video just fine. Honestly, I didn’t notice a huge difference between this and your older ones, but I’m not an expert in these things at all. 🙂
I discovered your blog today (searching for Armani Maestro videos) and now I’m a fan! I also wear shade Deauville in Nars, so your makeup color recommendations are especially helpful.
I like that you are an accomplished professional outside of blogging and your intelligence really comes through in your videos. Thanks for making my day (when I’ve been home sick) a little brighter. 🙂
This was such a nice tutorial! I loved the editor you used also and the music, it was all very well put together.
