Hi Evelyn. First of all, you are right to be a little confused -- in this day and age there is so much touted about "oil-free" this- and "for oily/combination skin"-that. It can be quite overwhelming and a little bit frustrating. I have combination skin myself and tend toward the drier side of things in winter. Here is what I recommend!

Firstly, what I would do is avoid anything that says "matte". Secondly, I would look for something that is lightweight, but promises a dewy finish. Dewy, glowy, and yes, even oily skin is perceived as younger skin, and light reflecting versions will help disguise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Without knowing your exact skin tone or texture, it's hard to say what exact foundation would be best. Immediately what come to mind are:

• Chanel Vitalumiere - not the Aqua version, the regular Vitalumiere version is for dry skin and while it does not achieve the same dewy finish that the now-discontinued Pro Lumiere had, it is formulated for drier skin and thus should suit you perfectly. However, Chanel foundations are notorious for being limited in color selection, particularly in the darker shades.
• Jemma Kid Make Up School Light As Air foundation - this is a very liquid-y, dewy finished foundation which can be found in some specialty stores or online at Beauty.com. Check out this post for my review of it in more detail. I like this for its very dewy finish, and it is very soft but not at all powdery. It's a bit dewy for my skin but it would be perfect for you I think. The downside is the extremely limited shade selection, and the ugly/impractical tube. It gets messy, but it's a great foundation if you can find your match!
• Lancome Teint Miracle - this foundation has light-reflecting particles and is suited for drier skin. I've never tried this personally but I have heard that a little goes a long way, so don't over-apply this one!
• Clarins Skin Illusion Natural Radiance Light Reflecting Foundation - this is another one I would test at the counter if you're already at the department store. It has gotten great reviews for its lightweight formula and light-reflecting pigments. Pair it with this.
