BDIB + Behind the Seams
I challenged, you answered. The challenge for this Bloggers Do It Better was to sport your sense of Military Chic - a look I think will never go out of style. In doing so, I also was able to unveil to you, my valued and respected reader, my debut design and label (GLITTERATI) and first piece ever: https://www.lineby.me/glitterati?a=6320d9f4
Now, it's your turn to show us what you've got, Sergeant!');
If you're looking for Military Chic inspiration, you can buy my limited edition debut design from my new label, Glitterati, right here at Lineby. Check out some videos of the limited edition blouse (nicknamed the "Sergeant Sparkle") which will not be available for purchase after tonight. Sizes are available in 0-14, and due to the fledgling nature of this company, only orders within the U.S. are available at this time.
Behind the Seams
Just look how it moves and shimmers. I hand-selected the fabric - and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I wanted silk of quality - not that rough kind that you feel over your fingers. I wanted the good stuff. 100% georgette silk. It flows breathlessly, and drapes like nothing you've ever seen. The shoulders? I die. Look at the sequins! Look at the barely-there puff at the ends, which makes the silk fall down your arms and make you look like you have twigs for triceps (yay--something I sorely need)! Above all, the shirt is comfortable--not constraining. You can tuck it in for the most tailored look, or leave it loose, or even unbuttoned over a black tank with a pair of black sunglasses, a ponytail, rolled-up boyfriend jeans, and flats.

My history with Lineby
When one of the cofounders of Lineby approached me with a fledgling idea about the company earlier this year, I had goosebumps. I knew it was a great idea and that it could, and would, be huge. The idea was to become a behind-the-scenes platform for bloggers to design limited-edition pieces, made right in the USA (NYC to be exact). Marissa approached me to be their first blogger and let me tell you we worked for MONTHS getting the piece just right, scrapping plans and changing them, meeting up in NYC, going over samples...it was hard work, y'all. But it was all new, uncharted territory. They even asked my opinion about the proposed name for the company (which I totally love). What an honor to be a part of this journey, this is the beginning of something big.
The cofounder and I, and the rest of the Line By team, worked their butts off and look what they've created: opportunity. Dreams fulfilled. I'm getting tearful just thinking about how wonderful it is to take something, an idea like Marissa's, and manifest it completely into reality. A shop, a photoshoot, a model, a design, a sale, and the best part: real people wearing my design. Holy smokes, y'all. I'm blown away.
Limited-edition, this piece sells for 48 hours only, 9AM EST Monday November 22 to Tuesday the 23rd, only at LineBy.me.
