Chanel BEIGE Les Exclusifs De Chanel

“I take refuge in beige because it’s natural,” -- Mademoiselle Chanel.

Chanel released BEIGE as part of the LES EXCLUSIFS DE CHANEL range in 2014, and the nose behind this fragrance is Jacques Polge. As Chanel describes it,  it is, "an elusive colour with infinite variations, beige may seem quite ordinary. And yet, behind this apparent simplicity, it hides a discreet sensuality that builds slowly before revealing itself fully. This sensual outburst is interpreted by Jacques Polge through a bouquet of Hawthorn, Freesia and Frangipani, with shimmering hints of honey. A stunning blend of white petals and yellow gold…in other words, a breath of beige."

The notes consist of Hawthorn, Honey, Frangipani, and Freesia. The sillage (how far the fragrance projects around you) is decent in my opinion, and the longevity is excellent.

This fragrance, which I purchased in the larger size due to its better value, smells expensive, yet refined. It doesn't scream with aldehydes like most Chanel fragrances (the very reason why I don't own any other Chanel fragrances--they give me a headache!). It's chic, refined, and understated, like a private woman with a secret.

It gives me visions of an unapproachably cool blonde in red lipstick, monochromatic clothing, big sunglasses, and walking her french bulldog in the streets of Paris or New York.

Like the rest of the LES EXCLUSIFS DE CHANEL range, BEIGE is only sold in Chanel boutiques. You cannot find this in duty-free or most department store counters. It retails for $160 for 2.5fl oz, and $280 for 6.8 fl oz.
