Chartreuse in Boots

This was one of those outfit posts. The ones where almost none of the photos looked right: blurry, wind in my face, stupid faces, awkward posing (thanks to the wind)...Ah, can't win 'em all, I guess.

I do love adding an unexpected color to pop against the rest of a dark ensemble. This chartreuse trench is an amazingly odd combination of yellow and lime green...totally unexpected. Totally gets looks in the seafood restaurant as you walk in on your dinner date. Erm. Yes. Yes it did.

I love the old-lady feel of this thrifted silk shirt with its tassels and antique chairs print...the shirt even has shoulder pads. I die. I love it. It's so ridiculous that it actually works.
