Flower Child
There's really so much to discover in my city. A sprawling metropolis of 4 million people, yet there are so many unique and separate neighborhoods (one could even go as far as to call them "boroughs") that the capacity to stumble upon something different than your own is endless.
I'm one of those people that doesn't care if it's 10ºF or 100ºF - I will wear jeans no matter the season. No apologies.
I think this may be the first post on PSS in which my hair is up. Also, I'm really not sure what's going on with my legs in the above picture.
We spied this charming neighborhood as [houston] and I passed by on our way home from a favorite upscale Mexican restaurant of ours (El Meson). With its adorable crumbling brick wall attempting to hide an empty lot - it was like a secret garden!
The sun here can seem almost oppressive at times, but occasionally its warm, moist air can feel refreshing. Opening up your lungs to it reveals a sauna-like quality that can be marvelous, if you learn to appreciate it.
Crape Myrtles - one of my favorite trees (behind magnolia and cherry blossom) - are abundant and blooming in Texas.
It's charming to come back home and discover the pictures your love takes of you when you forget the camera is in his hands.
Uh-oh.....people.
Probably one of my favorite nail polish colors - not sure of the color, but it's Lippmann Collection and it's one of those few shades against my pale skin that is actually flattering. I also wear this Forever 21 necklace in nearly every outfit - because it goes with every outfit - and I accidentally broke it getting out of the car when we got home! I was so sad - but it turns out it was an easy fix (yay!). Perhaps I should invest in something a bit more durable and designer? A girl can dream for now!
kirra top (pacsun), american eagle jeans, forever 21 turquoise ring & locket, sundance stacking rings, steve madden platforms
I really love this new top - it's so comfy! I do have to keep remembering to pull it down though, because when I sit it likes to creep up my stomach, which paradoxically makes the top part scoop down and get a bit revealing. But I'm totally in love with this floral print!
So, will you go out and soak up some sun today? Perhaps a picnic in your own backyard? What's the weather like where you live?
