Fringe Benefits

Leilanni Land fringe necklace, Forever 21 gauze tunic, liquid leggings, Forever 21 rings, Charles David booties

Proof that patience pays off in the end when it comes to shopping trends - I had been lusting over the leather legging trend for a while now--since winter, actually, when they're actually more practical--but could never dream of affording real leather pants. I wrote about resin-coated denim as a great alternative, and bought a great pair by James Jeans which I need to have hemmed before they can debut on PSS. But then I spotted these liquid leggings on Victoria's Secret website, and for $42 they are such a great alternative to genuine leather. And vegan friendly, if that's your thing.

The only downside? They're HOT in 100°+ temperatures! I just had to pair them with this gauze-y tunic I've had for a while now...so admittedly, I changed right out of them the minute this outfit shoot was over. They were great all day before that, though, indoors! :)

I finally bought myself a fringe necklace by Leilanni Land. Totally a statement, and totally got me some attention both entering and exiting the Eclipse movie (which, by the way, was full of jaw-jutting, and moody, sullen stares - I loved the books but KStew is just a terrible, terrible actress!).

One of my new favorite lipstick purchases (shall I do a favorite lipstick roundup post? let me know in the comments!) is L'Oreal's British Red. It has hints of blue in it which makes teeth look whiter, a must for any red lipstick, on any skin tone in my opinion!

I tucked my leggings into my booties for a seamless look. Who needs thigh-high boots??

Here's a fun little video of the shoot, I hope you like it! Should I keep doing these for outfit posts? Let me know in the comments section! Music: Frou Frou - Shhh

And, just for Pretty Shiny Sparkly readers, since I loved my necklace purchase so much, Leilanni Land is extending a $5 off offer code "PRETTYSHINY" - just enter it at checkout and the $5 discount will be refunded to you after the purchase. How sweet it is!
