Am finally getting around to posting this outfit (notice this was before I gave myself silver/lavender highlights and cut my bangs - oh, I didn't tell you? I gave myself bangs yesterday.) Will try to get around to photographing/posting a new outfit post with the new hair, new clothes (obvi), and a spiffy new watch! Stay tuned. In the meantime - let this post be a reminder to always have fun with your fashion. Don't be afraid to try new things, mix bright colors, or sport some flapper style fringe. You don't have to wear it forever, remember?

What I'm Wearing

  • Fringe Tunic: Forever 21
  • Sparkle pink tights: Forever 21
  • Ribbon lace-up booties: Colin Stewart (via Victoria's Secret catalogue, actually!)

Just three items, so simple, yet such a blaze of color. I gotta admit, as I pulled the items from my closet, laid them out, resting my chin on my hand with arms crossed, I seriously debated how much this outfit would end up looking like a court jester. But in the end, I felt it was super fun, and is a festive getup for holidays like New Year's (on a boat, sipping champagne, dahling), Independence Day, work events, dancing, or any other semi-formal event where conservative dress is not required.

To tone it down a little say for a get-together over cocktails, I'd simply pair this with some sheer nude or grey hose instead of the pink fishnets. But the fishnets go on the blog because of the fun wow factor - and to prove to you it can work!

I love your comments. I truly heart them. Pray tell, would YOU be bold enough to wear this out?
