It Cosmetics CC Cream Illumination

It Cosmetics have really been killing it in the beauty market these days. Their brushes are fabulous (although I only own one because the accompanying price tag makes it a bit cost-prohibitive), and they are recently getting a lot of praise for their CC+ Cream with SPF 50+

I decided to try it myself and purchased the CC cream in the new "Illuminating" version. To be honest I don't notice much of a difference between the two, although perhaps their is the slightest hint of a reflective/dewy quality. This quality disappears when the CC cream is set with a translucent powder, which I recommend for all CC creams since they are more moisturizing and thus prone to moving, migrating, and transferring if not set.

Overall, this CC cream, which retails for $38, provides medium to full coverage which is astounding for a product labeled as a CC cream and not a foundation. The color selection is limited, however, and I don't find this product to be very lasting on my normal-combination skin when putting in a full day's work.

On another note, their secondary product, Bye Bye Pores, which now comes in a new pressed version, is one of the best setting powders I've ever used. I now use this product for setting any of my foundations!
