Stripe It Up

California has been so much fun so far. My sister and I scoped out the shops at the Santa Monica Promenade. Of course we made a trip to H&M as well as Forever 21, where I purchased this top. I love it because it combines two of my favorite trends: colorblocking and bold stripes. We've been staying at my aunt's place in Topanga Canyon, which boasts strikingly beautiful views, four friendly chickens, and hydrangea bushes (one of my favorite flowers). The air smells like sage and the temperature is 72 degrees. I'm in heaven!

I keep wearing my Sam Edelman shoes with these jeans, and I don't know why. Perhaps they're the perfect height. I really don't know; I must branch out and try them with some wedges as well--but suitcases only hold so many shoes, and mine was dominated by sparkly Toms, sparkly ballet flats, Frye boots, and this pair.

I don't want to leave!
