Last weekend HB and I drove the short distance to one of the largest parks in Houston. Peering at my iPhone's screen that displayed a pseudo-map of the park's layout, I became his compass as I pointed the way to something called the Reflection Pool. Well, we never found it. We got too distracted by this jogging trail and the "choo choo train" that ran along side it, and the cool iron structures to even notice we were missing the entire purpose of going.

I think times like those, when you are having too much fun to realize you've forgotten your entire initial purpose, are what life is all about. Don't you?

Also, life is all about velvet leggings. FYI.

These leggings are AH-mazing!!! So comfy. So fun to rub absentmindedly. So good with my Sam Edelman suede boots!

It was so dreary and overcast - and bitterly cold. And by bitterly cold I mean 50 degrees in Houston, Texas. That's bitter, here.

Um, also? That conductor hat? Yeah, I'm wearing that because my hair was going on 48 hours without washing it, and I wanted to spare you all. And HB. But mostly you all.

What's that? Honesty isn't always the best policy, you say? Oh. Oops.

The train is coming! OMG!

You have no idea how badly I wanted to get on this train.

Denied. Oh well, I guess that's what two legs are for.
