The Lady is a Tramp

Dear Kristina,

This outfit is probably among the top 5 dumbest things you have done in your life thus far. Bravo for thinking it would be "okay" to walk outside in a dress and tights when it is -18°C/0°F. I sincerely hope that "Get common sense" is one of your New Year's resolutions.

Exasperatedly,

Kristina (who was originally going to title this post, "Are You $*&#ing Crazy?!"...for reals)

vintage coat (ebay) | bcbg max azria dress | we love colors tights in maroon (c/o) | target socks | sealskin boots*

HB is so friggin' talented now - look at him go! A few lessons from a former photographer (moi) and he's taking sun flare shots without a second thought, framing everything perfectly (which I can tell because my crop tool is getting kind of lonely), and he's even giving me direction like "Yes, yes, YES! Aaaaaand I'm spent. <camera toss>"

Actually it's more like, "STOP MOVING." "STOP TALKING." "YES I GOT A HEAD-TO-TOE." "STOP MOVING."

But only with the sweetest tone of voice, of course.

*A word about the sealskin boots: I don't condone wearing fur, unless it's vintage. It's my policy, and it doesn't mean it necessarily agrees with yours. My thought is that wearing new fur is inhumane and cruel, but vintage fur is like a compromise -- in that it's handed down, recycled, and it means the poor sweet animal did not die in vain. These boots belong to Erik, my dead brother. I remember scolding him for the purchase what seems like a million years ago--he didn't care, he had to have them. But now, wearing them feels the same as wearing vintage fur: I'm making sure it wasn't in vain, and I get to feel a little bit of Erik for however brief a time. Thank you for understanding.
