Splurge or Steal: Tom Ford vs. Jane Cosmetics

I’ve found a great dupe for the Tom Ford Brow Sculptor, a longtime favorite of mine that weighs in at a whopping $44. I’m ashamed to say I’ve repurchased this pencil twice. What a waste of money, now that Jane Cosmetics has come out with a wedge-shaped brow sculptor in a similar range of shades, and all for just $8. Eight. Dollars.  It has to be noted that the blonde version of the Jane pencil is a tad warmer than…

Jouer Perfume Oil

Recently Jouer sent me their Perfume Oil–and basically, it is genius. It involves a rollerball perfume (a concept we all know and [most of us] love–for its portability, convenience, unobtrusiveness, and value). But instead of an eau de toilette variety as is typically the norm for rollerball editions, this involves a perfume oil. The concept is genius, and leaves me thinking, “Why haven’t they all been in oil form?” “Why have I wasted my money on rollerball perfumes watered down with alcohol?”…

But what if you could get it for $30 and it’s the exact same palette? Now, I’ve only swatched the ABH contour kit in stores, as I never…

Vaseline Intensive Care Healing Serum

I’m in love with a lotion–and I’m pretty sure it loves me back (at least, my skin thinks so). I’ll bet you didn’t guess it was from Vaseline. Their new serum-based restorative lotion (called Vaseline Intensive Care™ Healing Serum) has my hands clapping in celebration, because finally there is a lotion that 1) sinks in quickly…

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess 2015

I have been a fan of Estée Lauder’s Bronze Goddess Eau Fraîche Skinscent since last year, which is a relatively short amount of time when you count up how many years Bronze Goddess has been a “thing”. Every year the beauty conglomerate releases the fragrance (often in new packaging) and every year it sells out, never to be bought again…until the very next year. This year I was lucky enough to get my hands on a bottle in advance of…
