Fifty Shades of Grey

If you’ve followed me for a while now you may be familiar with my predilection for the color grey. Light grey, dark grey, doesn’t matter to me. I love it all. I need to find myself some grey ankle booties – I feel it would have completed the look a bit better. But I do enjoy my Adidas tubular shadow shoes – the beige is so desaturated they almost look grey in some lights; it also adds a sporty casual…

High Key

I shot this look a couple of weeks ago – took my new gucci belt out for another spin (literally CANNOT stop wearing it) and thought it paired nicely with my single flap bag – love that bag so much. A bunch of favorites going on in one outfit: slouchy sweater, gucci belt, black jeans, chloé boots, chanel bag. What more could you ask for? Top – ASOS Belt – Gucci Jeans – ASOS Shoes – Chloé Bag –…

Dreamlike State

The air is turning warmer, the trees have sprouted tiny white blossoms, and I can smell the green in the air. Spring is coming! Shop the Post I recently got my hands on the sold-out Gucci belt – mind you, this is not a new item but it has become so pervasive among fashion bloggers that the style has sunk into my psyche and I couldn’t get it out of my head. I became convinced that every outfit would look…

Can’t Stop Won’t Stop

I feel like greys are my uniform. I may wear scrubs (aka uniformed pajamas) every day at work, but when I’m not, I’m usually in shades of grey. I have recently been pairing grey with army greens, maybe because of my gorgeous green Chanel classic flap, and I’m loving it. shop the post HB and I visited Asheville, NC this weekend and had such a good time. We will definitely be back.

Winter White

North Carolina and other east coast states got blasted with a rare snow storm this weekend, and I couldn’t have been more in my element. Lots of you will realize I’m from Texas, so winter weather may not seem like something I’m at home in. But I’m actually half Norwegian, and spent every winter up through the age of 12 in Norway with my dad’s side of the family. I greatly enjoyed putting this outfit together. I’m a rookie when…

There’s A Chill In The Air

There’s a slight chill in the air – it’s unseasonably warm for North Carolina this time of year. The thermometer reads 48F – but the rain has no trouble showing up dutifully on time. I always feel a bit gloomy after the holidays have come and gone; it’s so anticlimactic and makes me feel dreary and grey. Shop This Outfit Spicing up my off-day outfit with a magenta scarf like this one from Alexander McQueen (my favorite designer) is a…

Cream & Cranberry

There’s just something about this weather that makes me want to snuggle in big, oversized cable knits, throw on some boots, sling a slouchy bag or cross body over my shoulder, and enjoy the environment. Growing up in Houston where hot and humid is the norm, I became accustomed to the desire to stay indoors as much as possible. In a place where throwing open your door is like opening the gates to a sauna and breathing liquid air, I…

Fall Pop

The leaves are changing here which is definitely a new thing for me.   Being from Texas where the seasons change only once a year (from hot to less hot), being able to experience the seasons has been one of the best things about moving to North Carolina. Here, I am pairing a pop of red with my perfect fall-to-winter staple: the Gucci Soho Disco in a bright classic color.  I also brought out my favorite camel coat from Zara…
