The other day I decided to make a care package for my sister who was feeling homesick on her first day away from home at college. She’s in a completely different city, which can be very hard when you’ve been living 18 years of your life in the same home. I thought I would film its contents (last minute) before I sent it on its way, in case it inspired you to do something similar for your student or sibling who’s away from home right now! Enjoy!
totes compact umbrella // allure magazine // yes to grapefruit towelettes // shout to go wipes // vaseline spray & go moisturizer // eos gift set // the outsiders dvd // merona round sunglasses (same but different color) // mossimo boots

I went to college in state with my twin sister, so I never had the fun of getting a care package! This is so cute and so sweet of you to make your sis feel like she’s more at home 🙂 Good sister award goes to you!

Great ideas! I just put one together for my niece. Threw in a sewing kit, some Miss Oops wardrobe helpers and (so she wouldn’t have to spend her money on them) a few school supplies. I think putting care packages together is almost as fun as getting them! 🙂
Couldn’t agree more, Erica!
I bet your sister appreciates that care package 🙂
I love EOS especially the strawberry sorbet flavor! Check out my Urban Decay giveaway at http://www.bronzedsundaze.com!

I send my son care packages all the time. In his most recent package I included a Dove Mens +Care Body Wash and Shampoo, little portable breath sprays, a tube of e.l.f. zit zapper just in case a nasty pimple pops up, little portable dental flossing sticks, and various food items. He always enjoys getting things in the mail at college.
Even though I didn’t have to leave home to go to university, I can totally see how helpful care packages would be, especially since it brings with it a bit of home so you don’t feel quite as homesick.
You are the best big sister! I love the boots, but I’m a sucker for EOS lip balm.-Ash

I love sending care packages! For my daughter’s first birthday at college, I sent a “party in a box”. It included a Happy Birthday banner, party horns, a bunch of party favors, balloons, cake mix, frosting, candles and a birthday girl crown.Another idea, which I haven’t used yet, is a sunshine box. For someone homesick, include anything yellow, happy and sunny in their box. So fun!
Awww that’s so cute!! Can’t believe Annika is in college now!! Brings back memories back in the day for us when we were going through it all … =)
