Recipes for Fall: Crushing on Velvet

A girl’s crush…on velvet

I’m seriously in love with velvet right now. I’m not sure if it’s the lush earthy colors that scream fall, or the soft texture that makes me want to run my hands over it all day, or just how chic it looks in motion, light reflecting off in its characteristic pattern. I didn’t see much of a forecast for velvet from “the big guns”, but mark my words: there’s no way you won’t look chic in velvet this season. Pair it with some dark tights or pantyhose (yes, pantyhose is IN) keep the top neutral and simple. Heels are a must! You might just be seeing a similar look on me at Independent Fashion Bloggers (yes, you need to buy your ticket now!).

I have not worn velvet in so many years. If I remember correctly, it didn't really work well for me, but I'm going to take your advice and revisit velvet this winter.
