This month’s Glossybox is pretty special – it has teamed up with the beauty editor of Harper’s Bazaar for an awesomely curated collection of truly high-end items. There’s a (what looks to be) full size Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics lip tar in an anyone-can-wear dark honey shade that likens itself to Clinique’s Black Honey–it’s vampy in the tube but sheers out to a flattering color on the lips.
Then there’s the Benefit They’re Real mascara in a respectable mini sample size–I’ve got tons of these floating around from Sephora birthday samples but I’m happy to add one to my stash of minis for travel.
Again we see the ubiquitous Bvlgari au thé vert variety…I’ve got to be honest, I’m a little tired of seeing this in my glossybox, as I’m not keen on the scent and Lord knows I have no need for another miniature –but this time it’s a hair conditioner which could be handy for travelers, again. I would have liked to see it as a pair with its partner shampoo, though.
There’s an essie nail polish – full size, which makes me very happy. A rather run-of-the-mill classic red, which makes me kind of “meh”. Still, though, nice to see another full size product in this box! Impressed!
Lastly there is another glossybox brand perennial: Vichy, which I’ve heard of but not used much–this time it’s the Liftactiv Night anti-wrinkle cream which promises to be for sensitive skin, allergy tested, and contain Vichy thermal spa water(??). It sounds nice enough.
Last but certainly not least is the FABULOUS bow-themed clutch/pouch that also arrived with my Glossybox. It’s so adorable and functional that I immediately tucked my Frends headphones into it and placed it in my handbag, which is where it now resides. Update: Glossybox is not including these in the boxes. I’m sorry for the confusion! Unfortunately it wasn’t made clear that it was a gifted item!
