Clearly, I went to Ann Taylor this weekend and did a lil’ shopping. I bought a pink version of this shirt (I love silk!) and this sparkly necklace caught my eye near the cashier. Luckily, I remembered Ann Taylor gives a 20% student discount on regular priced items and spent the next 5 minutes with the cashier pulling up proof of enrollment at my medical school’s website. I’m industrious like that.

I named the post after my favorite and constant companion nail polish in high school. It was L’Oreal Jet Set in “Hasty” and I have never gotten as many compliments on a nail polish in my life (or as many friends who went out and bought it for themselves). This shirt’s color reminds me of it. Oh, how I miss it so! I kept it so long it eventually dried up into goo, and I sadly, regretfully, had to throw it away. I never found it in stores again.

Gettin’ funky/scary with my ASOS claw bangle (seen here) and my cross bracelet and claw ring from a website in The Netherlands. I have to say, buying overseas online is a scary and major pain in the a**. It took a month to arrive, with no tracking, and no word from the company. I was happily surprised when I received the package in the mail, however, since I’d completely forgotten about it.

Once I saw the almost-matching bangle on ASOS, I had to grab it. It arrived much faster.

I absolutely love the colour of your shirt – perfect for spring. It reminds me of sugared almonds or macaroons. I keep relating fashion to food at the moment – I guess they are two of major passions. Love the shoes also. Hope you had a wonderful weekend! xx

Classy outfit. I like the bracelet and ring much better on–not as scary. I have never liked those shoes, but now that they are with this outfit, they are beyond perfect! I am not even a purse person and I LOVE THAT PURSE! (God bless Vogue). Super job on photos too!

Every aspect of your outfit screams chic. I may have to hunt down those white pants. Are they see through as most white pants are?
Also if your beloved nail polish starts to dry up add a little non acetone nail polish remover. It helps to thin it out a bit.

Oh My you look stunning! I almost bought a shirt in this same color last week! That tone of pink is just perfect for Spring but last minute I passed it up convincing myself it wouldn't work with everything. Than you show up this morning proving me wrong! Excuse me while I rush back to the store to scoop that shirt back up. You look amazing!!

Ooooo Ann Taylor does a 15% student discount too?! Apparently The Limited has that kinda deal going as well … i wonder if Banana Republic does too. I need to take better advantage of my student ID when I can!!
Love the style and the pink texture of the shirt!! O and that lipstick is stunning on you 🙂 The ensemble color combination is something similar to what I wore to Match Day (with a green purse though only to avoid St. Patrick's Day pinchers) but girl, the colors definitely pop more on you!!

Wonderful outfit! The shirt and necklace are adorable and a great buy!

I had a similar situation with my favorite Nail Polish from Ellen Betrix (dark red, almost black). It reminded me a lot of my high school years and my period as a goth. Never again found a similar color 🙁

JCREW does the student discount too!!! I kept my student ID from grad school and I may or may not still use it 😉
