Hippie Chic

{ lace top – free people c/o karmaloop, vest (seen here) – new york & company, jeans – american eagle, necklace – forever 21, watch – michael kors c/o shop bop, bangles – vintage, white flats – payless }

I love the feeling I get when utilizing budget-friendly items in an outfit. Take these flats I bought at Payless: $12.99 (and buy one get one half off!). I desperately needed flats because you can only go so far when trying to pass off wearing Dansko’s with slacks (hey, I work in a hospital–but still, guilty as charged).

These jeans are so raggedy from years of misuse (and painting walls) that they rarely see the light of day anymore. I just don’t have the heart to throw out a pair of jeans. I really don’t. Which probably explains why I still have jeans I wore in college. And maybe high school.

Oh dear.

But they’re super comfortable and for this outfit it adds a casual aspect to it that I needed to balance out the flirty see-through lace and the crisp vest. And, um, it wouldn’t be me without some gold accessories. But you knew that.

    Cute outfit. I wanted to mention though that since the flower ad has been on the left of your site it has been taking a very long time to load each page.

    Love the outfit. And I'm not going to lie, NYC & Co. is my go-to for stylish outfits. I've gotten so many things there that just pull an outfit together. Plus, they have great accessories.
