Little Black {Lace} Dress

You probably already know of my recent obsession with long necklaces – and my tendency to mix gold & silver – and my love of layering. This necklace was sent to me by Hazel & Harlow on loan and I just had to pair it with something unexpected.

Paired with my watch that never leaves my wrist and a new vintage find, I’m one happy camper in this little black dress.

I think people tend to assume that a LBD needs to be dressed up, demure, polished, modern. With my vintage (gold!) accessories, and knee-high black socks & killer patent heels, I hope this changes that standard way of thinking for you, if only just a little bit. 🙂 Speaking of little & black, enter my giveaway to win your very own Cruz bracelet courtesy of Hazel & Harlow!

I’m off to San Antonio for a fabulous weekend of frivolity before [houston] and I begin our 4th and 3rd years in med school, respectively. You can bet there will be some Riverwalk-themed outfit posts in PSS’s future! Ciao bellas!

I love your dress! Super pretty, loving the lace top and the full skirt! I'm a huge fan of all black ensembles, and have really had to work at incorporating color into my wardrobe over the last couple years! But every once in a while it's so nice to slip int something all black again!

I love this dress! You're making me really want to go to forever 21 with all these awesome outfits. Also, I JUST saw yesterday those gold layering necklaces in Lucky magazine. And if I remember correctly, they were from forever 21.

If I were to wear this dress (if I was lucky enough to own it!) I'd probably wear opaque black tights and boots with it. Or knowing me I'd wear it with flipflops for a casual, "i dont want to stop wearing this dress" look.

Great dress! I like the black lace … and the way you've accessorized 🙂 I've featured you in my latest blog post (linking back to you, of course). Please let me know if you'd like me to edit in anyway and would be happy to do so!
