Moon River, wider than a mile,
I’m crossing you in style some day.
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker,
wherever you’re going I’m going your way.
Two drifters off to see the world.
There’s such a lot of world to see.
We’re after the same rainbow’s end–
waiting ’round the bend,
my huckleberry friend,
Moon River and me.
–-“Moon River” (Breakfast at Tiffany’s)
This is literally my travel outfit – the outfit I wore during the 200+ mile drive to San Antonio for our mini-vacay last weekend. Shoes and all! I don’t recommend wearing platforms for longer than 2 hours if they’re not serving a purpose.
Just sayin’. From experience.
When it’s hot, a silk shirt is definitely recommended. I love this one (you might recognize it from this post).
Watching the passersby over the Riverwalk…
These are the steps leading from the hotel straight down onto the river.
I’ve always believed that bright red/pink lipstick makes any outfit look more put together.
It’s not every day this urban dweller gets to take photos of her outfit for her blog with a river behind her.
I hope my 4th grade English teacher isn’t reading the above sentence crying into her keyboard re: abundance of prepositional phrases. Sorry, Teach.
Ducks abound in the river! Passersby were literally laughing at [houston] and I sometimes during these takes – why?? Tourists don’t take pictures where you come from?! Sheesh.
In case you were wondering, yes, this IS the famous footbridge a scene from the movie Selena was filmed on. 🙂
Any fellow Selena fans in the audience?
Photos by [houston]. Thanks darling!
I think it’s time for me to get a new necklace.
Oh wait, I did! Yes, it’s another Forever 21 locket, and it’s long, but it’ll debut in an outfit post soon as I get a chance to wear it!
I know this post was picture-heavy, and you probably already had a good idea of my outfit after the 3rd or 4th photo, but blame it on the vacation effect. Maybe that deserves capitals. The Vacation Effect. Yes, I think that’ll do nicely.
