My Evening Skincare Routine

As promised, I wanted to share the second part of my series on my current skincare regimen. I also shared my morning skincare routine in a previous post, so do feel free to check that out as well. Personally, I feel that one’s evening skincare routine is the most important of the two cleansing rituals. One needs to make sure you get all the makeup and grime of the day off of the face, and then it’s what one does with it afterwards that truly counts. Now, this will be different based on skin type and the problem areas involved.

For me, I have acne-prone skin that stays nice and tame if I’m religious about prevention – but the moment I ease up, or skip the acne treatment products altogether thinking I can get away with it – it once again rears its ugly head to remind me that I am not blessed with perfect skin; and indeed yes, I must work at it.

I feel you on the vigilance – if I don’t keep the routine going my face thinks it’s an oil carnival! These look like some really nice products, don’t think they’re available in NZ. I really like Trilogy over here.

I loving using some Michael Todd products and some products from organic/natural ranges here in Australia. I’ve just started using the LaRoche-Posay Effaclar Duo (which you listed but I don’t think mentioned in the video?) – hoping for great things from it! 🙂

I use the Effaclar intermittently at night on bad breakout days. But it’s not a part of my usual evening regimen. I usually use it in the morning, as seen in my Morning Skincare Routine post! ♥

This month I have acne attack. It usually occurs when I don´t get good sleep. Thanks for sharing these tips, they remind me to actually take my facial skin seriously and work on it.

I’ve been slacking this summer with my moisturizer. I’m still cleansing regularly but I definitely need to exfoliate and such! Is the Michael Todd brand expensive?

Thank you! I’m so excited I didn’t know Clinique redid their moisturizer!
I keep hearing about Activated charcoal, I want to try that too!

“Nothing creepy in this at all” LOL 🙂

I just ordered the Michael Todd Acne Regimen…it was on sale and I found a 35% off coupon…so I got the whole set for $45 US (including shipping)! So needless to say, I couldn’t resist ordering it. I have struggled with my skin over the years…I’m 25 and the worst of my acne has been in my 20s. Most of it is hormonal, but I am constantly looking for something that is going to keep it clear (most of the time anyways). I have heard so much about this line and I am crossing my fingers that I love it!Your skin looks beautiful!

Question: of the 2 Michael Todd cleansers you use which would you recommend if I have clogged pores/ blackheads. Ideally I’d like to purchase just one cleanser. Thanks in advance.
