Splurge or Steal: Zara Checked Scarf

Last winter, anybody who was anybody (or fashion bloggers who just like to enable one another) owned the Checked Scarf from Zara (pictured above, left). Pinterest was rife with outfit pictures featuring this gorgeous blankety oversized fall staple. At $30, it certainly wasn’t a steal, but it isn’t exactly Hermes prices either.
The kicker is – that was 2013. This is 2014, y’all, and it’s time to jump back on this oversized plaid scarf bandwagon. There’s just one problem: you can’t get that scarf anymore.

….Or can you?

Target, oh how wily you are. They’ve come out with a dupe–literally, a duplicate by my eyes–that is a dead ringer for the original. And? It’s only $16.99. Get it before it sells out, it will be an autumn/winter staple!

Do I get to be the first to comment. Yea to you for being the only blogger I’ve seen to post this. Yes I have the Target scarf. As does my sister. Target really nailed it this year. Who knew. As my husband said a smart buyer bought all they could. What a great post.
