Chinatown

Los Angeles had so much to offer this Texan girl. One of them was this fabulous Chinatown district Kelsi pointed out to me once during my stay. I was immediately fixated on the gorgeous red lanterns swinging in the constant California breeze. I had to come back.

And I did. That same afternoon, with [houston].

We strolled in the waning evening sunlight, perusing quaint little Chinese shops, where I picked up a jade bangle and a jade pendant cut in the shape of the Chinese buddha (double good luck, the sweet shop owner assured me).

I had been oohing and aahing over faux fur vests for a while now, but was waiting for just the right one - this one by Jack BB Dakota is perfect. It looks very nearly real, which can't be said about all faux fur vests, and it has a little collar to it which I love. I felt glamorous walking around in it - which is just what a fabulous piece of clothing ought to do!

All photos shot by [houston] (thanks, darling!) and edited by moi.
