It's Playtime

When I wear this strapless, breezy romper, I'm not trying to flaunt curves or leave nothing to the imagination. I'm trying to be comfortable, casual, playful, and well....fun! So when I found myself reaching for it today, I feel like the very playfulness of the romper itself inspired me to add more and more flirty fun to the ensemble. Enter: bow headband, cameo necklace, and my staple platform sandals.

The light was fading fast (thank heaven for summer nights - 7pm and still daylight!) but I managed to squeeze in a few shots of my day's outfit before the sun said goodnight and the moon took over. Not surprisingly, people seemed to enjoy my extravagant choice of hair accessory. The Taco Bell drive thru guy smiled and complimented me on my bow: "I like your thingie (points to his head)". "Thanks!" I replied cheerily and drove away with my cheesy gordita crunches (2) and root beer (a new favorite soft drink choice). Oh, cheesy gordita crunches, how you tempt me so. My weakness!

For those who don't follow my tweets, I had one day off this week yesterday and decided to fly to Ft. Worth to visit [houston] for a 24-hour mini-vacay. It was so much fun! I admit I was too exhausted and it was much too hot to do anything super fun in such a limited amount of time, but we definitely enjoyed some good food and wine, and he even snuck off to the cash register at Sephora without me knowing--and payed for my Laura Mercier goodies! What a sweetheart...
